Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Warwick Consultants handles personal information through this website and when you contact us, in accordance with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Effective 29 August 2026

1. Who is responsible for your information?

Warwick Consultants (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2026/581047/07, is the responsible party for personal information processed through this website and our initial business communications. In this policy, “personal information” has the meaning given to it under POPIA.

Privacy enquiries may be sent to warwick.consultants@yahoo.com.

2. Information we may collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • your name, role, organisation and business contact details;
  • information contained in an email or enquiry you send to us;
  • records of discussions and correspondence about potential services;
  • technical and security data generated when the website is accessed, such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps and requested pages; and
  • further information provided during a consulting engagement, which may also be governed by the applicable client agreement.

This website does not currently provide user accounts or an online contact form. When you select the email link, your chosen email service processes the message you send.

3. How and why we use information

We may process personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and arrange introductory discussions;
  • prepare proposals and take steps toward a consulting engagement;
  • provide, administer and improve our services;
  • maintain business and financial records;
  • protect the security and availability of our website and systems;
  • establish, exercise or defend legal rights; and
  • meet legal, regulatory and tax obligations.

We process information where you have consented, where it is necessary to take steps at your request or perform an agreement, where the law requires it, or where a legitimate business interest permits the processing and does not unjustifiably affect your rights.

4. Cookies and similar technology

We do not currently use advertising cookies or deliberately deploy analytics cookies on this website. Our hosting and security providers may use strictly necessary technology or process technical logs to deliver the website, maintain security and prevent abuse. If we add optional analytics or marketing technology in future, we will update this policy and provide any consent mechanism required by law.

5. Sharing personal information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share information only where reasonably necessary with trusted technology, hosting, professional or administrative service providers; with advisers; with authorities when required by law; or in connection with a genuine business reorganisation. Recipients must process information for the relevant purpose and subject to appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations.

6. Cross-border processing

Some service providers may process information outside South Africa. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure the transfer is permitted under POPIA and that the information receives an appropriate level of protection.

7. Retention and security

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, a related legitimate business purpose, or a legal and record-keeping requirement. We use reasonable organisational and technical measures designed to protect information against loss, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No internet-based system can, however, be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Your rights

Subject to POPIA and any lawful limitations, you may ask us to:

  • confirm whether we hold personal information about you;
  • provide access to or correct your personal information;
  • delete information that we are no longer entitled to retain;
  • object to or request restriction of certain processing; or
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may also lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator through its official website at inforegulator.org.za.

9. Children’s information

This website and our consulting services are directed to businesses and adult representatives. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices, website or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of the page identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably required.
